The Redesigning Pedagogy International Conference (RPIC), a flagship event hosted by the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, will return for its 11th edition from 2 to 4 June 2026.

In a rapidly evolving world, the role of education research in driving meaningful change has never been more critical. Bridging the gap between research, policy and practice is essential to ensuring that impactful, evidence-informed strategies shape the future of teaching and learning. By translating research into action, we can enhance educational outcomes and address the pressing challenges facing educators today.

The theme of RPIC 2026, "Education Research for Impact," underscores the need for research that leads to tangible improvements in classrooms, schools and education systems. The conference will bring together researchers, educators, policymakers and industry leaders to explore how research can inform and transform educational practices, policies and learner experiences.

RPIC 2026 will serve as a vibrant platform for collaboration, offering opportunities to exchange cutting-edge research, share best practices, and forge partnerships that drive educational innovation. Through keynote addresses, research presentations, symposiums, and interactive workshops, participants will engage in thought-provoking discussions that shape the future of education – both regionally and globally.

Message from Conference Convenors

We are delighted to welcome everyone to the 11th Redesigning Pedagogy International Conference (RPIC).

Over the years, RPIC has grown into an important international platform that brings together researchers, educators, policymakers and industry partners to exchange ideas and engage in critical conversations about the future of education. In a rapidly changing world, shaped by technological advancement, evolving societal expectations and deepening global interconnectedness, such dialogue is more important than ever.

The theme of RPIC 2026, “Education Research for Impact,” reflects a shared recognition that the true value of research lies in its ability to inform practice, shape policy and improve teaching and learning outcomes. Realising this potential requires collaborative approaches, particularly strong partnerships between researchers and practitioners, that are both methodologically rigorous and grounded in the realities of educational practice.

These ideas resonate strongly within Singapore’s education ecosystem. The close partnerships between the Ministry of Education (MOE), NIE and schools provide valuable opportunities for research to bridge classroom practice and system-level policy. Through sustained collaboration across these communities, research knowledge can be mobilised more effectively to support innovation, strengthen professional learning and drive continuous improvement across the education system.

At the same time, Singapore’s experience invites a broader reflection: what does it take to translate research into meaningful and lasting change in education? It requires spaces where diverse perspectives can converge, where ideas are exchanged, assumptions are challenged and connections are forged that carry insights beyond conference halls into classrooms, communities, and policy contexts. RPIC 2026 seeks to provide such a space. Through programmes designed for participants at all career stages, and across different careers, the conference aims to foster rich intellectual exchange, professional learning and new collaborations.

Ultimately, realising the promise of education research depends on a shared sense of purpose across the research ecosystem. Researchers, practitioners, policymakers and funders each play an important role, not only in generating and applying knowledge, but also in asking from the outset: what does impact look like, for whom, and how will we know when it has been achieved? RPIC 2026 offers an opportunity to reflect collectively on these questions and to strengthen the partnerships needed to advance impactful education research.

We hope that RPIC 2026 will spark new ideas, deepen existing collaborations and open pathways for future partnerships among participants from diverse educational contexts.

Finally, we extend our sincere appreciation to the organising committee and all supporting sub-committees for their dedication in bringing this conference to life, and to our speakers and participants for their invaluable contributions. To all our participants, may you have a stimulating, productive and rewarding conference experience!
